About Salt Picturehouse
We Believe in the Blockbuster.
Salt Picturehouse is an independent film and television production company based in Hurricane, West Virginia. We make character-driven comedies, thrillers, and shows. We make stories rooted in real community, real emotion, and real people.
We started in 2017 with a simple idea: make a show about the restaurants and people we loved in our home state. That show became The Over Easy Show, a travel and food series about West Virginia's best kept secrets. At our peak, half a million local viewers were watching. Restaurants we featured drew visitors from across the country. We learned something important: when you tell authentic stories about real places and real people, audiences show up.
We stopped in 2020. Life got complicated, we all remember that.
We came back in 2024, because the stories didn't stop needing to be told.
Now we're making short films, developing new shows, and finishing our debut feature, Winter's Last Note. It is a character comedy we wrote, produced, and are filming entirely in West Virginia with a volunteer cast and crew who believe in it as much as we do.
We're not waiting for permission to make things that matter to us. We're making them anyway.
That's what Salt Picturehouse has always been. A group of people who love stories, love this place, and believe that independent film made with heart and honesty can find its audience, one community at a time.

Tegan enjoys drawing anime style art, crafting, and learning a variety of different art projects. She helps with behind the scenes for Salt Picturehouse (scene set up, art productions, extras casting).
Justin Williams - Writer & Producer
Justin Williams started working on set with us during the making of “The Over Easy Show” as a behind the scenes photographer.
